Marine Swap Meet Attracts Many Fans

By Chris MacDonald, Writer/Photographer, HB Ambassador/The Local News Columnist

Hundreds of boat enthusiasts came and shopped for treasurers, from fishing poles to boat parts, at the 16th Annual HB Peter’s Landing Marine Swap Meet recently. Stuff was on sale at discounted prices from tons of vendors. There was also a Food Truck at the event which sold people delicious eats.

If it weren’t for Marina Manager Scott Seaton of Peter’s Landing Marina, this festive event wouldn’t have happened. When he and his wife came to manage the unique center off Pacific Coast Highway 16 years ago, they traveled around to other California Marine Swap Meets and thought that it would be a good idea to have one at their own marina. It’s now a huge success, growing bigger every year.

To get involved in the next Marine Swap Meet, please call, Scott at: (714) 840-1387,

Don’t forget about the fabulous weekly Certified Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 9am-2pm at Peter’s Landing Marina. Not only is there fantastic local produce but creative crafts, a Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, a Bounce House and great entertainers. The market’s Food Court has delicious foods and plenty of free parking to boot. If you have questions about this event, please call Lee Ostendorf at: (562) 449-9299. You’ll be glad you did.
