Art Walk is a Labor of Love for Katy Brack

When Huntington Beach Downtown Business Improvement District (HBDBID) introduced a new event in Huntington Beach starting in January 2010, an artist set down her paint brushes and came downtown to volunteer for Surf City’s colorful new happening. Katy Brack, a Huntington Beach artist who is featured in the Art Walk and at an exhibit at the galleries in Central Library, has a passion for affordable art she is commissioned to paint for individuals and families. The British-born talent who calls Huntington Beach home, was only too happy to pitch in when she heard about this new event coming to her very own town. Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and many other cities in California feature art walks.

The Art Walk in HB includes guest artwork and photography hosted in downtown shops, restaurants and services. Held just one night per month, the event invites the public to attend.Artists can also apply to exhibit their work during this event and will find an artist application on the same linked page.
