The Deep Water Dive Team is Giving Live Demos During Divers Day at the Aquarium Of The Pacific in Long Beach. Visitors at the Aquarium of the Pacific will get a rare glimpse of deep sea divers from the Port of Long Beach during the 10th annual Divers Day event this Sunday, March 27. The event will feature educational activities and live demonstration, free with the price of admission. Divers give the world eyes with which to look under the sea. Sharing the world of seals, sea lions, dolphins, and other marine life, divers experience a dynamic relationship with the ocean that goes beyond what is known to the land-bound. It is through their adventures and explorations that those of us limited by our terrestrial boundaries have learned of the richness beneath the blanket of blue. The Aquarium will also host a large range of organizations that are related to the sport and science of diving. The diving community is invited to find out about volunteer diving and other opportunities for involvement with dive-related organizations in Southern California.
Come learn about the history and recent advancements in diving and watch live demonstrations as divers, including the Port’s team, submerge in the show aquarium. There will be educational presentations, live dive demonstrations, and more. The Divers Day activites are free with general admission and go from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Certified divers who present valid proof of certification with their photo I.D. will receive free admission, please check event site for details. Sneak Peak of the Deep Water Dive Team. The Port of Long Beach’s deep water dive team is scheduled for two demonstrations at the Aquarium of the Pacific on Sunday: at 12:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. If you have any questions please call: (562) 590-3100.
