Halloween Haunt Still A Deal This Weekend at Queen Mary Dark Harbor

The new Queen Mary thrill attraction for Halloween called Dark Harbor will appeal to fans of Halloween attractions such as Knott’s Berry Farm’s and Universal Studios Hollywood theme park special Halloween events. But what you’ll find unique about Queen Mary’s new mazes are they utilize the natural ship settings such as the steam room and swimming pool (where the footprints and sound of a little girl’s voice have been reported by guests who swear there’s a ghost) to provide something that is more real than the studio and theme park creations elsewhere.

From the huge containerized cargo modules stacked and belching fire in the outdoor mazes, to the inside places–three mazes based on the ship’s and its past, your imagination doesn’t need to travel far to gain a sense of mystery, fear, and and authenticity in some instances. While previous renditions and ghost tours at the Queen have been OK, this experience is one of the best recreations ever produced. And if you wonder why it is so good, Queen Mary recruited some of the best in the industry–the Ships’ event director worked at Knott’s and knows exactly what it takes to make a great Halloween haunt! Sales dates Oct. 15-17, 2010, $29, general admission.  See: queenmary.com
