HB Tree Society Disneyland Winner

HB Tree Society’s Disney Fundraiser Helps Beautify Our City

By Chris MacDonald, HB Ambassador, Writer/Photographer & The Local News Columnist

On June 23rd at Surf City Nights, I drew the lucky winner of 4 tickets to Disneyland–Tracy McKelvey of HB. Tracy and 200 others bought tickets for a raffle which helped The Huntington Beach Tree Society raise money to plant Oak Trees in Bartlett Park this Fall. The park is located at Adams and Coldwater, behind the Newland Center.

The amazing Tree Society has already been reponsible for helping to plant more than 5,000 trees in HB, that not only beautify our Green City but clean the air, making it easier for all of us to breath. I’d like to personally give a “Shout of Thanks” to Tree Society President Jean Nagy, Ron Nagy, Shirley Knopf, Leslie Gilson and all of their members, who have made a tremendous positive difference in our community. We’re very lucky to have them play such an active part in our favorite city. You can get involved too. For information on The Huntington Beach Tree Society and the terrific work they do, log on to: hbtrees.org .You can also call: (714) 564-1396.
