Huntington Beach, California's
concrete pier is the
center-stone of the downtown,
anchoring Pacific Coast Highway
and Huntington City Beach to
Main Street. Seen in the
photograph are two surfers
heading home at sunset after an
evening surfing session. Wearing
wetsuits allows them to keep
warm when the ocean temperatures
reach below 60 degrees. The Pier
is lit with snowflake lights,
telling you that this is the
holiday season in which these
decorative lights are strewn
each year around Dec. 1 through
Jan 5 of the new year.
When visiting, be sure to
take a stroll on the pie. At the
end of the structure is a Ruby's
Surf City Diner offering salads,
burgers, sandwiches, malts,
sodas, and all the popular foods
that tourists and local
residents love. The prices
are affordable and the views
outstanding.
