KROQ Comes to Surf City for Del Taco Promo

Huntington Beach, Calif.–Bright red tents in the parking lot of Del Taco at Springdale & Warner were set up by KROQ FM to honor the 39 cent taco promotion. Nate Chang with Del Taco corporate;  Janis Chavez, marketing director for local Del Taco; and “Beer Mug”, the traveling KROQ spokesperson for the Del Taco tour and appearing on Kevin & Bean radio program invited contestants to bob their heads in water to open the taco sauce packets for prizes, dance, jump, and have fun.  Guests could spin the wheel to win prizes such as a Del Taco Frisbee, writing pins, comic books and more.

In addition, KROQ gave coupons out for free tacos. The event was held on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at 5856 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach, CA. The road tour stops next in Valencia. This is the final week of a three week Southern California tour, and the only Del Taco in Huntington Beach on the tour.
