Ralph Bauer Grand Marshal at 4th of July Parade 2013

CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH Fourth of July Executive Board announced that Huntington Beach resident Ralph Bauer will preside as Community Grand Marshal in the 109TH annual 4TH OF JULY Parade. For the past forty-six years, Bauer has generously served in a volunteer function on countless projects to help Surf Citians enjoy their fine destination. The opening of the 2-acre Ralph Bauer Park near the corner of Newland and Hamilton in the new Pacific Shores residential development pays homage to this outstanding citizen whose credits are incredible! The 4th of July Parade takes place on July 4 at 10 a.m. The route goes down PCH to Main, then Main to Yorktown. It lasts approx. 2 hours.

– HB Mayor, 1997
– Member, HB City Council, 1992-2002
– Recreation & Parks Commission
– Community Services Commission
– Planning Commission
– Pier Design Committee
– Linear Park Citizens Committee
– People for Parks (bond issue to purchase Huntington Central Park)
– Historical Society (life member)
– Amigos de Bolsa Chica (charter member)
– Bolsa Chica Land Trust
– HB Art Museum (patron)
– School Boards (two city boards, played a part in opening several HB schools)
