Shorebreak Hotel Popular Fixture in Surf City

Huntington Beach, Calif.–Who can believe that the Shorebreak hotel has been around for over a year? It is amazing how time passes. When it first launched, you could get a room for just over $100. The deals were flowing, but it didn’t take long to spread the word about this hotel that overlooks the Huntington Beach Pier. Its pet-friendly policy is a big draw for animal lovers who travel with their dogs, and the location is desirable for adults bringing kids to the beach.
I watched the Shorebreak Hotel being built, and then one night after it took form, I enjoyed standing on the HB Pier at sunset, studying the hotel in all its angles and glory. The hotel’s prime view rooms are quite close to the street on Pacific Coast Highway, which is busy and often noisy. But with the closest location to downtown HB and the pier, this trendy, Joie de Vivre hotel, has been sellling out during some summer days and room rates have climbed above $300 per night in certain instances. It’s hard to say if I would ever pay that amount. But soon, my friend is coming to stay in town and she will stay at the Joie de Vivre. It’s best for a visitor to decide if the price is worth it, because the hotel counts on travelers to like what they offer, spread the word, and keep coming back.
With 100 reviews of the hotel to date, the prognosis is over 50% give it top ratings. They like the location upmost. The hotel manager, Marco Perry, is responsive in addressing comments and suggestions and it looks like HB’s latest accommodation is really on track to provide the Surf City hospitality that guests seek.
